I’m the guy who writes the emails, coordinates the tastings, negotiates the deals and basically over sees the whole operation here at Best Wine Buys. I’ve been in this role since April 2008 and reckon I’ve got the best job in the world.
My interest in wine started when I was a teenager, growing up on the Wild West Coast of Auckland (no, I didn’t have a mullet but DID listen to AC/DC) picking grapes and working in wineries during my school holidays. Later on, 4 years in the UK wine trade was a real eye opener and a great learning experience before coming home and spending a valuable 3 years with the Fine Wine Delivery Company in Auckland.
While I’m fanatical about wine, I don’t believe it’s a luxury item and I’m on a mission to prove you can drink truly outstanding wines from anywhere in the world, any night of the week without spending over $15 a bottle!
